St. Mark’s - Anaconda

In the early days of St. Mark’s, services were held over one of the local saloons.  When water was needed for a Baptism, the Rector would send one of the younger members of the congregation down to fetch a glass of water from the bartender.  Rev. Holmes said of this practice, “With such a worldly symbol, we can be sure that the Baptism is proper.”  The congregation of St. Mark’s now worships in their own church that was dedicated in February of 1891.  Each Sunday we invite God’s Holy Spirit to be with us…we invite you also.
